Welcome to the City of Mt. Angel Oregon

Located in the verdant northeastern Willamette Valley, Mt. Angel is about an hour from the Coast and minutes from waterfalls in Silver Falls State Park. The surrounding area is also known as the Christmas Tree Region and is a gateway to Detroit Lake and Santiam Pass in the Cascade Mountains.
Mt. Angel is a sparkling gem in the Willamette Valley Crown. Nestled amongst rolling hills on Oregon’s Scenic Silver Falls Tour Route on Highway 214, the three hundred sixty degree views of colorful nursery stock, grass fields, hops, wheat, grape vines and variety of flowers charm visitors and make locals proud.

Check out Taylor Street!

The City overlaid Taylor Street on May 17th from Sheridan to Oak and from Elm to Birch.  We hope everyone will enjoy the new smooth driving surface.

The City Council put a great deal of effort into allocating funds toward this project and we are excited to accomplish this goal.  The Council made improvements to Taylor Street a priority in the budget in the last year and the Budget committee and Council are considering another project in the coming year’s budget to complete the Taylor Street overlay (from Sheridan to Garfield and Birch to Alder).  Please let us know if you have any questions or comments about the new Taylor Street or other street projects.
